Go to the Start button. Select Run and type inetwiz, as shown below;

Select Connect using my Phone line.
If your modem has already been installed, Windows will present the Step 1 of 3 Internet Account Connection Information screen. The top portion of this screen is shown below. After you have inserted the phone number to be dialed (here we have used 257-3900 If you are in Chico, the number is 592.2101; others are listed here, uncheck 'Use area code and dialing rules....' . Click Next.
The Step 2 screen will ask for your user name and password. Enter your NPCUID and password.
The Step 3 screen will ask for a name for the connection. Use ChicoNet.com
The next screen will ask if you wish to setup an internet mail account.
If you do not want to use your chiconet email account, click no and then next, then click finish and you are done!
